Markus Specks

Markus Specks is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aventurine Partners, where he oversees Aventurine’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction negotiation and execution, monitoring of active portfolio investments and firm management and strategy.  Markus is also a founding member of Peridot Acquisition Corp. (NYSE: PDAC), and served as its Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development until its successful business combination with Li-Cycle Corp. (NYSE: LICY). Prior to founding Aventurine, Markus was a Managing Director and Head of the Houston office of Värde Partners, a global alternative investment adviser. He began his career in investment banking at Lazard.  Markus received his B.A. from Lawrence University.
